It's a realistic eating plan that won't leave you hungry, but it should help you achieve healthy weight loss or weight maintenance. Because rye bread is 100% wheat-free, it can also help alleviate bloating and discomfort helping you feel generally better on a daily basis. It also contains four times the fibre and 20% fewer calories than standard white sliced bread.

You can approach the diet at various levels: to achieve steady weight loss, select one breakfast, one lunch and one dinner each day with an optional, healthy mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack, such as fruit or a handful of nuts; alternatively, simply replace your traditional bread with rye to feel less bloated and more energetic.
